Toner and Ink Cartridges Dual Packs and Multipacks

If the toner cartridge or printer cartridge is empty and you need to order replenishment, you can often choose between a single cartridge or a multipack.

The printer manufacturers earn their money essentially with the sale of toner cartridges and ink cartridges. So you want to sell as many of them as possible. A lot of cartridges are also available as an advantage pack (in each case a cartridge in Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) or at least as a double pack (usually two black cartridges ).

In a double pack the cartridges on the side price are often about 10% to 15% cheaper than in the single purchase. Due to the airtight packing of the individual cartridges, there is no obstacle to long-term storage.

Toner Double Packs and Multipacks

Some vendors, especially HP, also offer toner cartridges as a dual pack. For HP, the cartridges in the OEM numbers have a "D" in their name.

In particular from Samsung, there are also various Value Packs, which contain an entire set of color toners (Toner Cyan, Toner Magenta, Toner Yellow, Toner Schwarz).

Besides the price savings, it often makes sense to reserve another cartridge or set of cartridges. The toner cartridges are individually welded and can be stored for an unlimited period of time.

Ink Cartridges Dual Packs and Spar Sets

While toner cartridges often print many thousands of pages, the range of ink cartridges is limited to a few hundred pages (with 5% page coverage). Even if only occasional full-page photos are printed, the ink goes very quickly.

Fortunately, many printer manufacturers also offer ink cartridges in dual packs or savings sets. The double packs always consist of two cartridges of the same type, usually two black ink cartridges.

For the Multipacks, the compilation is quite different. There are multipacks (also known as sparpacks or value packs) consisting of one cartridge per printing ink (cyan, magenta, yellow, black), or packs that contain a second black cartridge in addition to the basic colors. There are a number of other variations that vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

With printer cartridges double packs or value packs can save a lot of money and work comfortably, because one still needs a set of printer cartridges in stock.
